 The word Islam is a statement that says the name comes from the triliteral root slm, and derived from the Arabic grammar aslama, which is intended "to accept, surrender or submission." Thus, Islam means acceptance of and subjection to God, and believers must demonstrate this by worshiping him, following his commands, and avoiding polytheism. These words give some meaning of the Qur'an. In some verses, the quality of Islam as a belief affirmed: "Whoever Allah wills will give him instructions, he certainly paved the chest to (embrace Islam) ..."
