Toleransi Agama

Definition of Tolerance

          Tolerance comes from the word "Tolerare" which comes from the Latin meaning patiently letting something. So it is a big sense of tolerance or perilakumanusia an attitude that does not deviate from the rules, which one respect or honor any actions that others do. Tolerance can also be said to be the term in the context of socio-cultural and religious meaning attitudes and actions that prohibit discrimination against different groups or can not be accepted by the majority in a society. An example is where the adherents of the majority of religious tolerance in a society allow the existence of other religions. The term tolerance is used by using the definition of "group" is more extensive, such as political parties, sexual orientation, and others. It is still a lot of controversy and criticism of the principles of tolerance from both liberals and conservatives. So moderation and tolerance means an attitude of religious people as a people and have faith, to respect and appreciate people of other faiths.

        In a society based on Pancasila, especially the first principle, devoted to God according to the religion and beliefs of each is absolute. All religions respect for human life and therefore all
religious people must also respect each other. Thus, among the different religious communities be built up harmonious life.
